Dr Hsing graduated from the QUT Optometry program with Honours before completing her medical degree in her home state of Queensland. Prior to commencing formal Ophthalmology training in 2018, Dr Hsing completed Masters of Medicine in Ophthalmic Science through the University of Sydney.

Dr Hsing worked in various metropolitan, regional and rural centres within general medical, ophthalmic and optometric settings before completing 5 years of accredited Ophthalmology training across major tertiary adults’ and children’s hospitals in Queensland, including a 12-month Fellowship at the Mater Hospital in South Brisbane. She was also the Queensland Final Year trainee representative of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists Trainee Representative Group.
Dr Hsing was subsequently awarded the Topham Scholarship to support subspecialty training abroad in the medical management of retinal diseases at the Bristol Eye Hospital, United Kingdom.
She has been involved in multiple clinical trials and regular departmental teaching sessions, through which extensive knowledge was gained in the latest treatments available for common retinal conditions such as macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease.
