Dr. Matthew Russell is an experienced ophthalmologist who specialises in cataract and refractive surgery. A Rewarding Career

Dr. Russell’s journey into ophthalmology began with a fascination for the intricate workings of the eye. “I was captivated by how something so small could be so complex and intuitively structured,” he explains. This early interest in the eye’s mechanics, coupled with his desire to make a real difference in people’s lives, led him to pursue a career in ophthalmology. Since establishing OKKO Eye Specialist Centre in 2015, Dr. Russell has continued to focus on offering high-quality, patient-centred care. He later founded VSON Laser Vision Specialists in 2019, bringing innovative, life-changing refractive treatments such as LASIK, SMILE and implantable Collamer lenses (ICL) to a broad range of patients.

To maintain his own well-being, he enjoys cycling and walking his Samoyed, Oslo.
