The advantages and disadvantages of keratoconus treatment depend on what you require and your specialists will talk you through the various options.
If you require drop treatment, generally there are no side effects. If you require surgical treatment for your keratoconus, the advantages will far outweigh the risks. The specialists will talk to you about those options. The risks of surgical treatment these days are generally very low and the risk of serious complications, generally less than 1%.
