How do you feel after viral keratitis treatment?

Dr. Judy Ku discusses how elated you feel after corneal viral keratitis treatment

How do you feel after treatment for herpetic disease?

Patients might feel worse, to start with, before we can induce topical steroids. The drops may sting quite a bit to start with, but you’ll notice over time that your sensitivity to light has reduced, the pain has reduced, and the blurriness, hopefully, recovers.

However, it also depends on the location of the ulcer in the eye.

If it’s out in the periphery or towards the outside of the cornea, then it’s less likely to have long-term consequences.

However, if the ulcer is in the center of the eye, or if you develop deeper infections and inflammatory responses, then you may have more long-term consequences.

We’d like to invite you to book a consultation with us.

It’s the only way that we can really assess the health of your eye and understand your condition and what we may need to do to get your eye health back to where it should be.

We look forward to meeting you so we can talk in person and discuss your condition in detail and get your eye health back on track.
