In this post, Dr Judy Ku discusses the instant cosmetic improvements and more that you will gain after pterygium treatment
When will you see the results following pterygium surgery?
In terms of the cosmetic side of things, if you have a lesion that was growing over the coloured part of the eye, it’ll be immediately removed after surgery. However, the eye will still be a bit red in the first few weeks.
In terms of vision, in the first week, you will find your vision slightly blurry but that will gradually improve after about one to two weeks.
In terms of comfort, the eye will be irritated at first but will gradually improve after the first two weeks. By about the one-month mark, the eye will feel a lot more comfortable, however, some patients may require some ongoing lubrication.
We’d like to invite you to book a consultation with us.
